Matt Doll is a local 600 camera operator who lives and works in Wilmington, NC.
As an operator of the steadicam Matt achieves fluid level shots that showcase the classic strengths of the camera stabilization platform. His ability to visualize a rough concept of the shot during rehearsals allows him to efficiently execute the shot ultimately envisioned by the Director and DP.
Matt has an affable and calm demeanor that builds a genuine and respectful working relationship with actors and technical colleagues. Most importantly he understands that a successful steadicam shot is a team effort.
He welcomes the physical challenges that operating the steadicam present. Matt also enjoys the creative side of camera movement as well. The combination of athletic demands, craft, skill and collaboration with Directors and DPs is what has made operating so rewarding for him.
